Looking For Your Next Lunch Spot By The Riverfront? Lettuce Entertain You Has You Covered.
Stretching out with a 130-seat outdoor terrace, the latest LEYE concept has opened the first of a three-phase dining venue. Spanning four levels to the tune of 35,000 square-feet, this $50 million redevelopment takes the place of former Bridge House Tavern, featuring the Italian Riviera inspired Pizzeria Portofino, charcoal-grilled seafood at RPM On the Water, and a private dining space. The Pizzeria debuted last week, and fans of the restaurant chain have already begun flooding Instagram with its stunning panoramic views of the riverfront. Anticipating fans await the arrival of RPM On the Water, set to open in November, though its private event space will debut sooner come September.
So Here’s What You Need To Know About Pizzeria Portofino.
Stepping into the entrance off the riverwalk, you are greeted by the warm waitstaff, clad in horizontal stripes in tribute to Italy’s Gondola drivers. Regulars swear by the Focaccia di Stefano, a spin on traditional focaccia di recco, and the lunch and dinner crowd are swept away by the coastal Italian wine menu. Portofino’s staff also vouch that the small seafood menu is a mere taste of what’s to come for RPM OTW. Beyond the restaurant’s seafood preview, newcomers will fall in love with the group’s signature hand stretched pizzas and artisan pastas. Portofino also offers boat slips for docking guests; parties dining on the water can order from the special Marina Menu, which includes everything from bubbles and wines to ice bags and custom cooler totes.
