Located on the city’s northwest side is one of Chicago’s oldest and most historic neighborhoods, Logan Square.
Here lies a thriving and hip area with a diverse mixture of excellent restaurants, eclectic bars, artisanal cocktail lounges, quaint coffee shops, and cute boutiques.
What makes Logan Square so unique?
The gorgeous leafy and vast boulevard, lined with large and luscious trees on each side.
Enjoy the Logan Square Farmers Market from June to October, picnics, dog walking, festivals, movies on the boulevard, and an abundance of more.
Logan Square was named after General John A. Logan, a Civil War soldier, and Illinois Senator. The Logan Square Monument or Illinois Centennial Monument was built in 1918 by Henry Bacon. It celebrates the 100th anniversary of Illinois’ statehood. Fun fact! The Logan Square stop was the end of the Blue Line up until 1970.
Logan Square has several choices regarding the different styles of architecture intermixed within the streets of this neighborhood. If you’re looking for a greystone single-family home or apartment lined with broad and colorful trees, a restored historic mansion along the Boulevard, or a new high-rise studio or condo on Milwaukee Ave, Logan Square will not disappoint.
Logan Square is home to a vast array of restaurants offering tastings from around the world. Pizza, ramen, tacos, pasta; you name it, and this neighborhood has it!
