Ravenswood is located on Chicago’s North Side between the Uptown and the Chicago River.
It is a balance of a quiet residential neighborhood with access to nightlife, concerts, and public transportation.
Ravenswood began with a 194 acres purchase of farmland by a group of real-estate speculators, the Ravenswood Land Company. This land was intended to be for wealthy commuters that were looking to build their homes on large lots. The Great Chicago Fire served as a critical moment in the expansion of Ravenswood. People that had been affected by the fire moved to Ravenswood to rebuild their homes and start over.
Ravenswood is home to Victorian-style mansions, single-family homes, courtyard-style apartment buildings, and condos. There is something for everyone in the beautiful Ravenswood neighborhood.
For pizza lovers, Spacca Napoli is a Ravenswood must. They have Neapolitan pizza and a fantastic patio during the warmer months.
